Apr 06: Any thermal power generation company is now being given the flexibility to procure renewable power to meet their generation obligations.
8They will be given the freedom to procure power from anywhere in the country for this purpose
8Once the schedule for the next day is received, the thermal generator will have the flexibility to procure power to meet this commitment
8Since renewable power can be cheaper sometimes, the generator can stand to gain by backing down his own supply and procurement renewable power instead
8The benefit will be shared between the generator and the discom in equal proportion
8There are some caveats however to this new dispensation
