Feb 02: Despite the big talk, the amount of money allocated for the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya schemes are going to be lower in 2018-19 in relation to the current year
There are two schemes working under this segment
8Gram Jyoti Yojna, which will have a spend of Rs 3800 crore
8Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (Rural)-Saubhagya, with a spending cap of Rs 2750 crore
8Under Gram Jyoti Yojna, spending will be significantly less while the emphasis for the government is on Saubhagya where the spending has been raised.
8Given all the hype, the allocations may well fall short
